Glue trowel for adhesives

Product description

Successful bonding to a parquet substrate requires the use of the right type of notched trowel. The notches are selected according to the adhesive used and the material to be bonded. If bonding is done on a concrete substrate or other abrasive substrate, the wear of the trowel must be taken into account as the work progresses. The notches of the trowel must be deepened every 10-30 m2 due to wear or the trowel must be replaced with a new one to ensure sufficient adhesion. The amount of adhesive must be monitored continuously as the work progresses.

The instructions below are the recommended notches for Berger-Seidle adhesives:

B2 For bonding cork-polyurethane impact sound insulation 600-800 g/m2

B3 For bonding mosaic parquet 800-1000 g/m2

B5 For gluing small-sized finished parquet 900-1200 g/m2

B11 For gluing large-sized finished parquet 1300-1700 g/m2

B12 For gluing large-sized finished parquet 1300-1700 g/m2

B13 For gluing large-sized finished parquet 1500-2000 g/m2

With Berger-Seidle M1 glue for solid planks:

B15 For gluing solid planks 1400-1700 g/m2

Note! Recommended consumption indicative estimates for a flat surface. The installer must ensure the correct amount of glue and sufficient adhesion by testing the glue before starting the work and by observing the glueing result as the work progresses. Weights must be used when gluing, if necessary, in accordance with the instructions of the parquet manufacturer and the Finnish Indoor Flooring Association 2013.
